Ingredients
Scale
- 4–6 chicken breasts
- 1 bottle Sweet Baby Ray’s barbecue sauce
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Mix the Sauce: In a bowl, combine Sweet Baby Ray’s barbecue sauce, vinegar, red pepper flakes, brown sugar, and garlic powder. Stir until everything is well blended.
- Prepare the Chicken: Arrange the chicken breasts in the crockpot. It’s fine if they overlap slightly.
- Add the Sauce: Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken, ensuring each piece is thoroughly coated.
- Set to Cook: Cover the crockpot and set it to cook on low for 4 to 6 hours. The exact time will depend on whether your chicken is fresh or frozen.
- Finish and Serve: Once the chicken is cooked through and tender, it’s ready to serve. Shred it for sandwiches or serve the breasts whole alongside your favorite sides.
