Sausage & Cheese Muffins are a delicious and incredibly easy recipe that’s perfect for breakfast, brunch, or even a quick snack.
These savory muffins combine the hearty flavors of sausage and cheddar cheese with the light, fluffy texture of a Bisquick-based batter. They’re quick to prepare and bake, making them a convenient option for busy mornings or a grab-and-go meal.
This recipe is versatile, allowing you to customize it by adding other ingredients like diced onions, bell peppers, or even a dash of hot sauce for a little extra kick. The muffins are satisfying on their own, but they also pair well with a side of fruit or a dollop of sour cream.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Bisquick mix
- 4 beaten eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 lb ground sausage, cooked and crumbled
Directions:
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly spray a muffin pan with nonstick cooking spray.
- Cook the Sausage: If you haven’t done so already, cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until it’s fully browned. Drain any excess fat and set the sausage aside to cool slightly.
- Mix Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the Bisquick mix, beaten eggs, salt, shredded cheddar cheese, and cooked sausage. Stir until all ingredients are well incorporated.
- Fill the Muffin Pan: Spoon the mixture into the prepared muffin pan, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
- Bake: Place the muffin pan in the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes, or until the muffins are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool and Serve: Allow the muffins to cool in the pan for a few minutes before removing them. Serve warm and enjoy!
