- 1 loaf French bread, sliced 1 inch thick
- 5 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons corn syrup
Instructions
- Prepare the Bread: Arrange the bread slices in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish in a single layer.
- Mix the Custard: In a bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt. Pour over the bread, ensuring each slice is soaked. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Make the Caramel: Next morning, preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Melt butter with brown sugar and corn syrup in a saucepan until smooth.
- Bake: Pour the caramel mixture over the soaked bread. Bake for 35-40 minutes until puffed up and caramel is bubbly.
