- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, diced
- 2 stalks celery, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 4 cups beef broth
- 2 cups water
- 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 2 cups egg noodles
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Brown the Beef: In a large pot, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess grease.
- Sauté Vegetables: Add the onion, carrots, celery, and garlic to the pot; cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.
- Add Flavors and Liquids: Stir in the basil, oregano, beef broth, water, and diced tomatoes. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- Cook the Noodles: Add the egg noodles and reduce to a simmer. Cook until noodles are tender, about 10 minutes.
- Season and Serve: Season with salt and pepper, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve hot.
