Easy Hamburger Noodle Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 stalks celery, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 2 cups egg noodles
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Brown the Beef: In a large pot, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess grease.
  • Sauté Vegetables: Add the onion, carrots, celery, and garlic to the pot; cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.
  • Add Flavors and Liquids: Stir in the basil, oregano, beef broth, water, and diced tomatoes. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  • Cook the Noodles: Add the egg noodles and reduce to a simmer. Cook until noodles are tender, about 10 minutes.
  • Season and Serve: Season with salt and pepper, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve hot.
