  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 3 teaspoons ground cinnamon (for coating)

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Warm your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large bowl, cream the butter with 1 1/2 cups sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, beating well.
  • Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend these into the creamed mixture.
  • Prepare Cinnamon-Sugar Mixture: Combine 3 tablespoons sugar with cinnamon and sprinkles in a small bowl.
  • Form Cookies: Shape the dough into 1-inch balls, roll each in the cinnamon-sugar mixture, and place them 2 inches apart on the prepared sheets.
  • Bake: Cook for 8-10 minutes until the cookies are set but still soft.
  • Cool: Let them rest on the sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
